Raj Sandhu is founder, entrepreneur and active angel and venture investor. He has founded and run as well as turned around companies. He has also worked in private equity, public equity, late stage venture capital, and investment banking. He began his career in software development and product management. He has served on the boards of a number of portfolio companies.

He was co-founder, principal seed investor and chairman of Modulus Video, the leading carrier grade H.264/MPEG-4 video compression systems company, acquired by Motorola. He led the company till its Series A funding.

Previously he was a managing director of private equity and venture capital at hedge fund and private equity firm Chatterjee - Soros Group (an affiliate of Soros Fund Management in New York) with $2 billion under management. Prior to that he was a technology banker at Cowen and an early stage venture investor for a small VC firm. He started his career in software development and product management and marketing at Metaphor Computer Systems (acquired by IBM) He has an MBA from Harvard and a BS (computer science and economics, double major) from Yale.
