Ex ad-man, now angel investor, interested in early stage technology start-ups.
I am a generalist by nature. A weakness? I’m not so sure.
I believe it makes you adaptable & prepared for change: Useful skills to have on the shifting sands of a technology driven world. I spent 16 years in the ad industry helping disparate groups of skilled people achieve some pretty great stuff. For some that meant business results, for others award-winning work. Hopefully for all, it was the satisfaction of a job well done.
I also spent a lot of time trying to understand what makes people tick, to buy, to like you. It’s all about human nature. And we're not that different.
These skills serve me well when looking for investments. After all, if you can’t create something great that people want, you don’t have a business.
Oh and I’m also an optimist. It can be a struggle. Yet every day I meet amazing people with visions to make a world a better place.
And that gets me excited.
If you’re in the business of trying to change the world, then maybe we should talk.
Revert to third person....
