I'm a serial entrepreneur, innovator and technology executive having been a founder, board member and leader across roles at Going, Inc., AOL, IBM, iPhrase Technologies, and Simon and Schuster/Viacom. Most recently I co-founded Going.com, which we sold to AOL in 2009.
I'm an angel investor as part of the HackerAngels group, and am an angel and in most cases also advisory board member in 10 companies including Rapportive, Speakertext, OnSwipe, Locately, peerTransfer and eLaCarte. In these deals I've co-invested with great folks like 500 Startups/Dave McClure, SV Angel/Ron Conway, Chris Yeh, Mitch Kapor, Spark Capital, Betaworks, Paige Craig, Y Combinator, Joshua Schachter, Dharmesh Shah, and Jason Calacanis.
I'm also a startup advisor, mentor and panelist at events such as Angel Bootcamp, Startup Weekend, BarCamp, MIT Enterprise Forum, and have been covered in Techcrunch, Read/Write Web, Boston Globe, Mass High Tech, CRM Daily and other publications.
Earlier in my career, I was a human-computer interaction researcher with eight papers published in international juried conferences, as well as a patent author, across work at the MIT Media Laboratory, Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, AT&T Labs, and Georgia Institute of Technology.
