description
I'm the CEO & Co-Founder of StayClassy, an online fundraising platform that powers the fundraising of over 1,000 nonprofit and educational organizations.

I also serve on the board of Team Rubicon and manage an angel fund (called Mixture), investing in startups that demonstrate a unique blend of profit opportunity & social purpose. A few investments include Puddle, Iodine, PopExpert & Change.org.

Formal Bio:

Scot co-founded StayClassy in 2006 to raise money for cancer research after his mother had battled the disease multiple times. Today, StayClassy is an online platform that powers the fundraising of over 1,000 nonprofit organizations world-wide, including Oxfam, National Geographic and the Special Olympics. StayClassy also hosts the CLASSY Awards, now the largest philanthropic award show in the Country.

Scot was selected by Businessweek as one of the top 5 most promising social entrepreneurs in America in 2011 and as a top 40 young leader under 40 by San Diego Metropolitan Magazine. He serves on the board of Team Rubicon, and is an investor in Puddle, CaseText, PopExpert & The Lean Startup Machine. He is also a frequent event speaker on startups, leadership & social impact, including a recent TEDx talk on social entrepreneurship.
