Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay is the the Chairman and Chief Executive of Genting Berhad, the holding company of the Genting Group.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of London, UK and attended the Programme Management Development of Harvard Business School, Harvard University, USA in 1979.
He is also the Chairman and Chief Executive of Genting Malaysia Berhad, the Chief Executive and a Director of Genting Plantations Berhad, the Executive Chairman of Genting Singapore, RWSPL and GENUK and has served in various positions with the Genting Group since 1976.
He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Community Chest, Malaysia.
He also sits on the boards of trustees of several other charitable organizations in Malaysia.
He is a Visiting Professor of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Imperial College, London, UK, appointed since October 2009 and an Honorary Professor of Xiamen University, China since December 2007.
